What will be taught

Leaners are introduced to the key internal and external drivers that define the scope of your AM system. Specifically:

  • The AM Policy
  • Levels of Service
  • Forecasting Future Demand
  • Asset Knowledge
  • Performance Monitoring
  • Proposed scope in terms of the asset portfolio covered

We use the IIMM framework and Asset Management Basics handbook as the course curricula. This is the second badge in our suite of digital badges - these micro-credentials are a great way to build your asset management skills and competencies, allowing you to advance your asset management journey. This badge is a pre-requisite to the AM 203 and AM 204 badges.

Upon completion, learner will

  1. Understand the importance of setting a clear strategic direction for the AM system.
  2. Understand levels of service and why they are the cornerstone of good AM.
  3. Understand the importance of future demand forecasts and be aware of the methods available.
  4. Understand the importance of collecting, maintaining and reporting asset data.

Who should attend

  • Those who are new to managing infrastructure assets or those who want to align their understanding of asset management with the IIMM. 
  • Students or recent graduates in any profession who are interested in this area. It is expected to take between 2-4 hours to complete target="_blank" rel="noopener">AM 101 before starting this workshop. However, you can register today.
