Financial sustainability for infrastructure (NZ Webinar Series)

Recent data on New Zealand local government finances shows that many councils face significant challenges in providing for the sustainable operation and renewal of their infrastructure stock.  This webinar will discuss this data, some of the real issues facing New Zealand asset custodians, and some of the ways these issues can be managed.

This webinar discusses the importance of the financially sustainable provision of infrastructure, including:

  1. What do we mean by financial sustainability?  How can we tell if we are sustainable?
  2. The challenges of financial sustainability for infrastructure, both external and internal
  3. The New Zealand experience, including discussion of real issues in practice
